The Astana Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1999 by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Abzal Mukhitdinov. With 85 musicians, the orchestra has performed more than three hundred concerts in Astana city and toured throughout Kazakhstan as well as Russia, Greece and Germany. The orchestra performs a wide range of Kazakh symphonic music as well as a broad spectrum of classical repertoire.
