Arabesque International has always believed in the power of music for common understanding. In 2011 this project was initiated by general manager Ahmed Abouzahra with the idea to bring together the Christian Coptic choir “Al Karuz”, the Islamic Sufi chants ensemble “Sheikh Arabi Al Maddah”, the Horus Piano Duo with Ahmed Abouzahra & Nóra Emödy, oud player Bassem Darwish, founder of Cairo Steps and the German WDR choir in a concert where they performed the world premiere of a choral work based on poems of Gibran Khalil Gibran.
