The stage spectacular Nutcracker Magic is another masterwork created by Shanghai City Entertainment Group Co., Ltd. (SCEG) after its unprecedented success of the acrobatic ballet Swan Lake. Emerging from the classic ballet Nutcracker, this show boldly fuses together magic, acrobatics and dance without compromising the aesthetic value of the original ballet. With fantastic magic, graceful acrobatics and breathtaking ballet, it presents the audience a brand-new interpretation of the classic.
Using Tchaikovsky’s score, the Nutcracker Magic boldly adapts and innovates on the basis of the original ballet, telling a completely new story in a totally different time and space. Meanwhile, the fusion of oriental and western arts such as magic, acrobatics and ballet, as well as the unique stage design, imposing stage setting and wide application of advanced sound and lighting have all successfully facilitated the modern and colorful interpretation of the classic Nutcracker.
