The Acrobatic Troupe of Anhui province was founded in 1956. The troupe has been active both on national and international stages ever since.

Over the past 50 years, the troupe has performed extensively in China and in over 50 foreign countries in Asia, Europe, North America and Africa. Several of the shows performed have been awarded international prizes, including:
Girls on the Stacked Chairs – Golden Prize at the 1st Future Acrobatic Contest in Paris; Silver Prize at the 2nd National New Seedling Cup Acrobatic Contest; Silver Prize at the 4th Wuqiao International Acrobatic Art Festival.
Riding High on the Platform – First Silver Prize in the 10th Paris Tomorrow Acrobatic Contest
Jumping the Board – Golden Prize at the 1st Wuqiao International Acrobatic Art Festival; Golden Prize at the 2nd National New Seedling Cup Acrobatic Contest
Exchanging Bowls on the Head – Bronze Prize at the 2nd Wuqiao International Acrobatic Art Festival; Silver Prize at the 2nd National New Seedling Cup Acrobatic Contest
Two-person Performance on the Chairs – Silver Prize at the 1st Wuqiao International Acrobatic Art Festival
