Carreras sang a selection of romantic opera repertoire, primarily arias and duets, accompanied by Spanish soprano Ofelia Sala and the Moscow City Symphony “Russian Philharmonic” Orchestra, led by Spanish conductor David Giménez.

The internationally acclaimed tenor is recognized as a true global opera star, with an extensive repertoire including over 600 titles of the most diverse styles ranging from baroque to contemporary music. He performed over 60 operas and solo performances at the world’s most prestigious opera theatres, concert halls and festivals. He also released over 150 recordings and performed the leading role in several operatic films for television, cinema and video. The Three Tenors concerts performed by José Carreras together with Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti are now legendary. Followed by an audience of over two billion worldwide, the concerts have played a key role in popularizing the art of opera.
